The Challenge of Ministry
I’m so thrilled to announce that Spiritual Life and Leadership is now the official podcast for Fuller Theological Seminary’s new Church Leadership Institute (CLI).
Why does this matter?
Because ministry leadership is more challenging than ever! And I get it—because I feel the same challenges in my own leadership. What we need are resources that will help us lead well in a world that we so often feel unprepared for–resources now provided by the Church Leadership Institute!

What Is the Church Leadership Institute?
Led by Tod Bolsinger, the Church Leadership Institute is a brand new initiative by Fuller Theological Seminary. Tod Bolsinger is the author of Canoeing the Mountains and, more recently, Tempered Resiliance (read my review HERE). Tod is also no stranger to the podcast, having been a guest on more than one occasion (Episode 16: Canoeing the Mountains and Episode 83: Disorientation and Spiritual Leadership).
Getting the Partnership Started
Episode 99 (to be released on March 30, 2021) will be a transition episode. I’ll be speaking with Tara Beth Leach about her book, Radiant Church. At the end of the episode, Tod Bolsinger and I will reflect briefly on my conversation with Tara Beth, and Tod will share a bit about CLI.
This exciting partnership will officially launch with EPISODE 100, in which Tod and I will discuss “The Spiritual Life of a Leader: Vulnerability, Relationships, and Practices.” That conversation will be released on April 13, 2021.
